Texas State Bobcats Receive Invitation To Join Pac-12 Conference: Reports

The Texas State Bobcats have officially received an invitation to join the Pac-12 Conference in 2026, per multiple reports.
Monday, the school’s board will meet to discuss the invitation.
If accepted, the Bobcats will be the eighth football-playing member of the conference beginning with the football season of 2026-27.
The eight football-playing members assured the Pac-12 eligibility for the College Football Playoff.
The Pac-12 and Texas State are expected to finalize a deal soon, and the regent meeting will formalize Texas State’s acceptance. The move will happen for the 2026-27 school year.
