Stewart was primed for a big season, his second with the Ducks after transferring in from Texas A&M. Last year he had 48 catches for 613 yards and 5 touchdowns, averaging 12.8 yards a reception.
Presumably without Stewart, Oregon will have to turn to its depth at outside receiver, including Jurrion Dickey, Jeremiah McClellan, and Kyler Kasper, while hoping for a freshman breakout season for dynamic playmaker Dakorien Moore.
Oregon opens the season August 30th against Montana State at Autzen Stadium.
