5 WIIL ROCK BREAKDOWN 11/05/2026….. Motorhead…. Breaking Benjamin…. Skid Row….
First up, Motörhead is celebrating the 40th anniversary of their 1986 album, Orgasmatron. And they’re doing it with a pretty cool re-release coming November 6th. The new edition includes the original remastered album, plus a brand-new remix from longtime Motörhead producer Cameron Webb. He actually got his hands on the original studio recordings and says he uncovered all kinds of details that weren’t as noticeable before. There’s also rehearsal recordings, outtakes, and a 1986 BBC Radio session. So if you’re a Motörhead fan, this one’s definitely worth checking out. And seriously, 40 years? Lemmy would probably tell us to quit counting and turn the damn thing up!
Next up, Breaking Benjamin just announced a 2027 U.S. tour, and they’re bringing P.O.D., Filter, and Starset along. Unfortunately, Breaking Benjamin just came through our area, so if you missed them, you’re going to have to travel. The closest stop to the WIIL Rock listening area appears to be Kalamazoo, Michigan, February 18th. Peoria is another option February 22nd. But with that lineup, if you’re a fan of any of those bands, it might be worth making the trek.
And finally, Skid Row has officially found its new singer. After more than two years of searching, they’ve picked New Jersey vocalist Justin Sargent. He’s already recorded his first song with the band, a cover of The Who’s “Won’t Get Fooled Again.” They’re also getting ready to hit the road in 2027. So now the big question is: how does he sound singing “18 and Life” and “Youth Gone Wild”?
