SAPD investigates fatal crash (September 6, 2026)

SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) — A 19-year-old man was killed early Sunday after being ejected from his motorcycle in a crash near downtown, according to the San Antonio Police Department.

Investigators say the crash happened around midnight near the U.S. Highway 281 and Interstate 35 interchange.

According to a preliminary report from SAPD, the man was traveling northbound at a high rate of speed when he hit a highway wall.

The impact ejected him from the motorcycle. He landed in a parking lot below and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police have not released the man’s identity or additional details about what led to the crash.

The investigation remains ongoing.
