Pitbull Sets A Guinness World Record Involving Bald Caps
Mr. Worldwide himself, Pitbull, set a Guinness World Record at London’s BST Hyde Park Festival on July 10th for the “largest gathering of people wearing bald caps.”
Over 22,141 fans showed up in bald caps to support the attempt. Despite already being bald, Pitbull wore a cap himself to qualify for the record. “I’m speechless. Who would have thought a first-generation Cuban would be record-breaking and record-making?” he said.
The idea originated from a viral TikTok by podcast host Jack Remmington, who suggested the 65,000-capacity venue was large enough to break such a record. Remmington then coordinated with Guinness World Records and BBC Radio 1’s Greg James to make it happen. No previous record existed for the category before Friday’s attempt.
