Heavy rain threat for San Antonio, Hill Country through Thursday

SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) — The National Weather Service is expecting an active period of weather for much of the region for most of the week.
South Central Texas will experience tropical moisture teaming up with an upper-level disturbance this week, and everything from heavy rain to potential flooding is possible.
What to know:
- There is a Level 1 to 2 of 4 (Marginal to Slight) Risk for flooding rain this week for all of South Central Texas Monday through Thursday.
- Tropical moisture in place will result in very heavy rainfall rates in storms, with up to 1-3” per hour at times.
- Storm total rainfall amounts of 2-6” are possible, with isolated totals up to 8”, particularly over the Rio Grande Plains and Edwards Plateau region.
- A flood watch may be required for portions of the area within the next 24-48 hours.
