GREEN DAY has announced the Nimrods original motion picture soundtrack, arriving July 31 ahead of the film’s theatrical release on Aug. 14. The 30-track soundtrack features 22 GREEN DAY songs, including the brand-new single “I’m Never Gonna R.I.P.,” four previously unreleased live recordings from the band’s Los Angeles Palladium performance, and music from several guest artists. The band also released the official video for “I’m Never Gonna R.I.P.” to coincide with the announcement. Nimrods is a coming-of-age comedy inspired by GREEN DAY’s early touring days and follows three friends who mistakenly believe their band is opening for the punk rock icons on New Year’s Eve. The film features a cast that includes Mason Thames, Mckenna Grace, Jenna Fischer and Fred Armisen.
BLACK SABBATH drummer Bill Ward has revealed he now relies on a wheelchair for long distances, particularly in airports and at public events, but says he is neither retiring nor giving up music. In a message to fans, the 78-year-old explained that while he can still walk, he needs frequent breaks and has been using a wheelchair for about 18 months. Ward emphasized that he remains active as a drummer and is committed to continuing his music career. “I’m just catching a ride,” Ward wrote, adding, “I’m not in retirement or ill.” He said he wanted to be transparent about his mobility and assured fans he plans to “keep rocking until I’m dead.”
IRON MAIDEN frontman Bruce Dickinson has been named Best Live Speaker at the 2026 Speaker Awards, held July 3 in London. Dickinson, who was also nominated for Best Motivational Speaker and Best Storyteller, said he was honored by the recognition, noting he has spent years developing his skills as a public speaker, storyteller and motivator. The Speaker Awards recognized Dickinson for his engaging presentations, which draw on his experiences in music, aviation, business and entrepreneurship. In addition to fronting IRON MAIDEN, Dickinson is a commercial pilot, author, entrepreneur and motivational speaker known for sharing lessons on leadership, resilience and innovation.
