Damian Lillard is set to become an unrestricted free agent for the first time in his career.

In one of the more stunning moves of the NBA offseason, the Milwaukee Bucks have decided to waive guard Damian Lillard, stretching the remaining $113 Million on his contract over the next five years. Lillard had two years left on his contract.

Milwaukee made the move with Lillard to help them acquire Myles Turner, the 29-year-old forward and longtime Indiana Pacer, who agreed to a four-year, $107 Million contract with the Bucks.

Per ESPN’s Shams Charania, Lillard will return to his home in Portland to rehab and take his time to decide his NBA future. Lillard underwent surgery in May for a torn Achilles suffered in the first-round of the NBA Playoffs.
