Oregon Ducks Up To No. 5, Oregon State Down To No. 10 In Latest D1Baseball Top 25

With a road series win at Michigan State, the Oregon Ducks rose one spot in the latest D1Baseball.com Top 25 rankings revealed Monday, now at No. 5 in the country.
The Ducks lost the opener at MSU 2-0 on Friday before posting victories of 13-5 and 3-1 to take the Big Ten series.
Oregon is now 34-13 overall and 16-8 in Big Ten play, third in the conference standings, a game back of No. 18 UCLA and 3.5 games back of conference leading Iowa. The Hawkeyes (32-15 overall, 21-6 Big Ten) remain unranked in the poll. Iowa hosts Oregon May 15-17 for a three-game series to conclude the Big Ten regular season.
The Ducks will host Saint Mary’s for two games at PK Park in Eugene on Tuesday and Wednesday before hosting rival Washington for a three-game series this weekend, the final homestand of the regular season.
The Beavers, meanwhile, slipped four spots in the D1Baseball.com Top 25, now at No. 10 in the rankings. The Beavers lost a fourth consecutive game to rival Oregon last week on Tuesday in Corvallis, then took two of the first three games at Hawaii over the weekend. OSU did win a third game at Hawaii on Monday night, after the latest rankings were out. Tuesday, the Beavers mutually decided with the Portland Pilots to cancel their previously scheduled game on Wednesday in Corvallis, with no makeup date.
Oregon State (35-12, Independent) now have seven games remaining on their schedule, all at home, with no conference tournament to participate in prior to the selection of the NCAA Tournament field. The Beavers host the Iowa Hawkeyes for three games this weekend in Corvallis, then host Portland on May 13th and finish the year hosting Long Beach State May 15-17.
