Oregon Ducks Can’t Keep Up With Indiana 78-62 To Exit Big Tournament Tournament

Oregon’s run in their first-ever Big Ten Tournament was short-lived, losing 78-62 to Indiana in second-round action in Indianapolis on Thursday.
The No. 8-seed Ducks fell behind the No. 9-seed Hoosiers early, trailing 23-11 after the first quarter, and never recovered.
Peyton Scott led Oregon with 16 points while Ehis Ehute came off the bench with 14 points. Deja Kelly had 7 points on 2-11 shooting from the floor.
Four of Indiana’s five starters scored in double-figures led by the 17 points of Shay Ciezki.
Oregon falls to 19-11 overall as they await their NCAA Tournament fate on Selection Sunday March 16th.
Oregon entered the day projected by ESPN’s Charlie Creme to be in the NCAA Tournament, among the last four teams with byes, avoiding the First Four. Creme had Oregon as a 10-seed in the Birmingham Region and opening play in Storrs, Conn. against a 7-seed Oklahoma State with UConn as a No. 2 seed hosting the pod.
