Beavers Fight But Come Up Short At No. 23 Saint Mary’s 74-64

Oregon State men’s basketball concluded their first regular season as members of the West Coast Conference on Saturday evening with a 74-64 defeat at No. 23 Saint Mary’s.
The Beavers were within a point at halftime trailing 34-33, and made it a four-point game at 68-64 with 1:08 remaining before the hosts pulled away for the win.
Parsa Fallah had a team-high 14 points while Michael Rataj had 12 points on 5-for-16 shooting.
The Beavers finish the regular season 20-11 overall and 10-8 in WCC play, good for the fifth seed in the upcoming conference tournament next week in Las Vegas. They will play their first round game on Saturday, March 8th at 6:00 p.m. against the winner of 8-seed Portland and 9-seed Pepperdine.
