Oregon men’s basketball sprinted past Rutgers in the second half en route to a much-needed home victory Sunday night 75-57.

The Ducks have now won two in a row to stem the tide following a five-game losing skid.

Oregon was led by Nate Bittle’s double-double of 15 points and 10 rebounds while blocking five shots. Jackson Shelstad had a team-high 19 points, and TJ Bamba had 11 points and 6 assists.

It was the first meeting in 40 years for the two programs on the basketball court.

The Ducks improve to 18-8 overall and 7-8 in Big Ten Conference play.

Five games remain for Oregon’s regular season beginning with a Wednesday road contest at Iowa (5:30 p.m., BTN). The Ducks then visit No. 11 Wisconsin on Saturday (9:00 a.m., FOX).
