No. 16 Oregon men’s basketball lost at home Sunday night to Nebraska 77-71.
The Ducks led 2-0 early with the first basket of the game from Nate Bittle. But Oregon never led again. Nebraska got on top early and the game was in the Cornhuskers control the rest of the way. A three-pointer from Jackson Shelstad got Oregon with 58-53 with six minutes in regulation, and free throws from TJ Bamba made it a four-point deficit with under a minute left, but the Ducks were not able to complete the comeback.
Oregon has lost three in a row and slip to 16-6 overall and 5-6 in Big Ten competition.
The Ducks drop from the AP poll and embark on a two-game road trip to No. 24 Michigan on Wednesday and No. 9 Michigan State on Saturday.
