Trail Blazers Roll Past Orlando Magic 101-79 For Third Straight Win

The Trail Blazers got 21 points from Anfernee Simons and 16 points from Toumani Camara and rolled past the Orlando Magic on the road 101-79 on Thursday to claim a third straight win.

After falling behind 21-18 after one quarter, Portland outscored Orlando 93-58 the rest of the way.

Without Deandre Ayton and Donovan Clingan, Robert Williams III started the game at center and had four blocked shots, four offensive rebounds (12 total), eight points and a steal in 24 minutes.

Deni Avdija had 13 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. Jerami Grant blocked 3 shots and dished 4 assists of his own to go with his 12 points, 4 rebounds and a steal.

Portland blocked 14 shots in the game.

Paolo Banchero struggled for the home side going 1-for-14 shooting and 0-for-4 from three-point range. He finished with 8 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists. Franz Wagner returned for the first time from injury and led Orlando with 20 points.

The Magic have lost five games in a row.

Scoot Henderson did not start the game for the Trail Blazers despite being in strong form as of late. He played 14 minutes off the bench and fouled out.

Portland improves to 16-28 overall and play the second night of a back-to-back on Friday against the Charlotte Hornets. Charlotte is a 5-1/2 point betting favorite.
