Oregon Ducks Get Much-Needed Home Win vs. Maryland

No. 9 Oregon men’s hoops bounced back from a blowout home defeat to No. 22 Illinois earlier in the week with an 83-79 win over Maryland on Sunday in Eugene.
The Ducks improve to 13-2 overall and 2-2 in conference play. Jackson Shelstad led the squad with 23 points including a perfect 5-for-5 from three-point range. Big man Nate Bittle had 16 points, and guard Jadrian Tracey had 14 points. Off the bench, Keeshawn Barthelemy had 14 points and five assists while Kwame Evans Jr. had 10 points and 7 rebounds.
Oregon did slip to No. 15 in the latest AP poll on Monday following the 1-1 week. The Ducks are next in action Thursday Jan. 9th at Ohio State (3:00 p.m., Big Ten Network) before visiting Penn State on Sun. Jan. 12th (1:00 p.m., BTN).
