KUNP Transitions to Flagship Station of Rip City TV Network on January 1

Blazers Buying Portland A Round on January 4 with Rip City Bar Network Watch Parties

PORTLAND, Ore. (December 31, 2024)The Portland Trail Blazers have announced a celebration of the new year with a new way to watch Blazers games, a marathon of classic games on the new Portland flagship television station of the Rip City TV Network – KUNP – and Watch Parties at select Rip City Bar Network locations on January 4 when the team takes on the Bucks in Milwaukee.

Beginning January 1, Rip City will have even more ways to access Trail Blazers games as KUNP within the Portland Market will officially be the Portland flagship station of the Rip City TV Network. The station will air all local and non-exclusive nationally televised games as well as pre and postgame coverage, episodes of the Emmy-Award winning team docuseries – The Trail, and more Trail Blazers content. Fans can still access games via KATU’s 2.2 channel as they have all season long, as well as via the team’s direct-to-consumer streaming service – BlazerVision – with season-long subscriptions now available for $89.99 or monthly subscriptions at $19.99. To celebrate the recent launches of the Rip City Bar Network and the Portland flagship station of Rip City TV Network, KUNP, the organization is hosting Watch Parties at eight Portland-area bars and restaurants. Beginning at 4:30 with pregame coverage, the first 77 fans at each location will receive a free drink on the Trail Blazers tab, plus opportunities to win digital antennas, prizes, and more.

A special 40+ hour marathon of classic Trail Blazers games will tip off the launch of KUNP as the new Portland flagship station of Rip City TV Network beginning at Midnight on January 1. The marathon will begin with the 2019 Western Conference First Round Game 5 at Midnight, and run all day through the afternoon of January 2, leading right into pregame coverage of the Trail Blazers road matchup against the Los Angeles Lakers at 7:30 p.m.
