Beavers Defeat UC Irvine 67-55 For Third Straight Win

Wayne Tinkle’s Oregon State men’s basketball team won its third straight game and improved to 7-2 overall on Saturday night with a 67-55 victory over previously unbeaten UC Irvine.
Senior guard Damarco Minor had a team-high 19 points with nine rebounds and five assists for Oregon State. Michael Rataj had 13 points and Parsah Fallah added 12 for the Beavers who improve to 7-1 at home this season.
OSU is next in action Tuesday night hosting Sacramento State at Gill Coliseum. Tip off is 7:00 p.m. on ESPN+.
Then, the Beavers head to the Hawaiian Airlines Diamond Head Classic in Honolulu. They open play there on Sunday Dec. 22nd against Charleston College at 12:00 p.m. on ESPN 2. OSU will play again on the 23rd and 24th regardless of Sunday’s result. Other teams in the bracket include Loyola Chicago, Oakland, Nebraska, Murray State, Charlotte, and Hawaii.
The Beavers first conference game in the West Coast Conference will follow on Mon. Dec. 30th hosting the Portland Pilots at 6:30 p.m.
