Stan Love, father of Lake Oswego star Kevin Love and himself a former star at Oregon and pro hoops veteran, has passed away, his son posted on social media.
He was 76.
Love is also the brother of Mike Love of the Beach Boys.
Former NBA forward Stan Love, father of Kevin Love and brother to Beach Boys co-founder Mike Love, has passed away.
A standout at the University of Oregon, Stan was the 9th overall pick in the 1971 NBA Draft and played for the Bullets, Lakers and Spurs.

Stan Love played 4 years of pro hoops for teams including the Baltimore Bullets and Lakers of the NBA and Baltimore Claws and Spurs of the ABA. He had averages of 7 PPG and 4 rebounds per game for his career.
