Mariners Claim Fourth Straight Series Win With Sunday Victory In Toronto

The Seattle Mariners have righted the ship.
With a 8-3 win on Sunday, the Mariners took two of three from the Blue Jays in Toronto. The series win is the fourth in a row for the Mariners since starting the year 3-7 overall after a road sweep in San Francisco two weeks ago.
From there, Seattle took two of three at home over division-rival Houston, swept division-rival Texas, claimed a roller-coaster extra-inning rubber game in Cincinnati, and won another extra-inning thriller on Saturday before claiming the series the next day in Toronto.
The Mariners are now 12-10 overall, one game back of division-leading Texas, a half-game ahead of the LA Angels. The M’s have the lone positive run differential in the AL West (+5).
Cal Raleigh homered again Sunday for his major-league tying 9th long ball of the season, matched with Tyler Soderstrom of the A’s. Raleigh has 10 home runs in 21 career games against the Blue Jays, including 7 homes in 11 games played at Rogers Centre.
Former Blue Jay Rowdy Tellez homered against his former team in each of the three games this series.
The Mariners are also 3-0 in series-deciding games.
Next, the Mariners conclude their 9-game road trip with a three-game series at Fenway Park against the Red Sox starting Tuesday. Then it’s back to T Mobile Park for a 5-game homestand against the Miami Marlins this weekend followed by a two-game set against the Angels next week.
