Mariners Swept By Giants, Fall To 3-7 Overall To Start The Season

Through ten games, the Mariners are five games out of first place in the American League West, and only the Chicago White Sox (2-7) have a worse record in the American League.

The 3-7 Mariners were swept by the Giants in San Francisco over the weekend. The Giants won a thrilling extra-inning, back-and-forth affair in Friday afternoon’s opener, then used former Mariner Robbie Ray to stifle the Seattle offense for a 4-1 win on Saturday, and finished it with a second walk-off win on Sunday 5-4.

This week, Seattle has six games at home hosting Houston on Monday-Wednesday and Texas on Friday-Sunday, followed by a nine-game road trip the following week.
