The Trail Blazers dropped a 129-116 result on Sunday afternoon at Moda Center against the reigning champion Boston Celtics.

West Linn native and former Oregon Duck star Payton Pritchard started and played 32 minutes for the Celtics, finishing with 16 points, 5 assists and 4 rebounds. Jayson Tatum led all scorers with 30 points. Jaylen Brown and Kristaps Porzingis did not play for Boston. Shaedon Sharpe led Portland with 23 points.

At 32-40 overall, the Blazers enter Monday trailing the final play-in spot in the West by 2.5 games, currently held by Phoenix on a tiebreak over Dallas.

Ten games remain in the regular season, with a current 7-game homestand concluding Tuesday night against the East-leading Cleveland Cavaliers. Portland then heads out on a five-game road trip, part of a six-of-seven stretch on the road.
