Deni Avdija Posts 30-point Triple-Double But Blazers Fall In OT To East-Leading Cavaliers 133-129

Deni Avdija finished with a triple-double of 30 points, 12 rebounds and 10 assists and the Trail Blazers battled hard on the road against East-leading Cleveland despite falling in overtime 133-129.

Anfernee Simons had 27 points including the game-tying free throws in the final seconds that pushed the game into OT. Toumani Camara had 19 points, 5 rebounds, 4 steals and 2 assists. Shaedon Sharpe had 18 points on 7-for-20 shooting.

De’Andre Hunter had a game-high 32 points for Cleveland with 5 made three-pointers. The Cavs were without star guard Donovan Mitchell who sat out for rest.

As of Monday, Cleveland had the NBA’s best overall record at 50-10. Portland falls to 27-34 overall and are back in action Monday at 4:00 p.m. visiting Philadelphia.
