Big Second Half Sends OSU Past Loyola Marymount 66-49

In a game that was tied at halftime, Oregon State outscored LMU 22-9 in the third quarter to help spur a 66-49 road win in WCC play Thursday night.
AJ Marotte had a team-high 16 points, while freshman guard Ally Schimel had 13 points off the bench, making all five of her shot attempts from the field including 3-3 from beyond the arc.
Kelsey Rees had 12 points and 8 rebounds including 4 on the offensive glass along with 2 assists. OSU went a perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line.
The win improves the Beavers to 12-13 overall and 8-6 in WCC play, fourth place in the conference standings. They are in action next on Saturday at 2:00 p.m. visiting San Diego.
