The dramatic and somewhat confusing turnaround of the Blazers 2024-25 season continued Tuesday as Portland won its fifth straight game, 112-89 over Indiana.
The Blazers have won nine of their last ten games heading into Thursday’s trade deadline at noon.
Now 22-29 overall, Portland sits four games back of the No. 8 through No. 12 seeds in the crowded West, spots currently held by Sacramento, Phoenix, Golden State, and Dallas.
The Blazers host the Kings on Thursday at 7:00 p.m. after the deadline passes.
Portland improves to 14-13 at home.
Anfernee Simons had a team-high 22 points while Scoot Henderson and Shaedon Sharpe each had 17 off the bench.
Indiana was held to just 5-24 from behind the arc (20.8%). They never led in the game.
Portland’s defense gave the Pacers problems all night, holding the visitors to 38 first half points and outrebounding them 51-39.
Jerami Grant had 20 points in what could have been, pending Thursday’s events, his final game as a Blazer.
