Beavs HC Trent Bray To Take Over Defensive Coordinator Role After Keith Heyward’s Resignation

After the surprise resignation of Keith Heyward, Oregon State head coach Trent Bray has decided to take over defensive coordinator duties himself as well as coaching inside linebackers.
Bray disclosed the move to The Oregonian/Oregonlive on Tuesday.
Bray was previously OSU’s defensive coordinator from 2021-23 under previous head coach Jonathan Smith. Bray replaced Smith as Beavs head coach entering the 2024 season.
Oregon State went 5-7 overall in Bray’s first season as head coach.
UPDATE: As expected, HC Trent Bray will take over play calling duties for the DC spot next season.
