In a game that was tied at halftime and at the end of regulation, Santa Clara edged Oregon State by a single point in the extra session to take an 82-81 decision on Thursday night.

The Beavers were led by Parsa Fallah’s 24 points while Michael Rataj had 16 points and 10 rebounds. A layup by Fallah gave OSU an 81-78 edge with 17 seconds left in overtime, but Santa Clara was fouled on a three-point attempt with ten seconds left. Adama-Alpha Bal made the first two free throws, missed the final attempt, but the Broncos got a pair of offensive rebounds and scored the go-ahead basket with just three seconds left.

The loss drops Oregon State to 12-5 overall and 2-2 in West Coast Conference play. Santa Clara is 11-6 overall and 3-1 in conference.

The Beavers are next in action on Saturday night visiting University of Pacific. The Tigers earned their first conference win on Thursday night in Pullman with a 95-94 overtime win over Washington State. Tip off is set for 7:00 p.m. on ESPN+.
