Oregon State Falls 34-18 At No. 11 Boise State To Miss Bowl Game

The Oregon State Beavers lost Friday at No. 11 Boise State 34-18 to finish the season 5-7 overall and will not make a bowl game under Trent Bray in his first season as head coach.
Boise State tailback Ashton Jeanty had 37 carries for 226 yards and a 6.1 yards per carry average with one touchdown.
Ben Gulbranson finished with a 39.3 quarterback rating completing 21 of 37 attempts for 227 yards, a touchdown and no interceptions.
Anthony Hankerson rushed for 110 yards and a touchdown on 11 carries (10 yards/carry). Darrius Clemons led the way receiving with 8 catches for 123 yards and a score.
The Beavers trailed 14-0 early and 21-7 at halftime. Gulbranson and Clemons connected for a 12-yard touchdown and followed it with a two-point conversion to cut the deficit to 27-18 with 11:51 remaining in regulation. But OSU’s offense was stalled on downs twice after that, and Boise scored a final touchdown with less than a minute remaining to seal the victory.
The Beavers finish the season with a 5-7 overall record after starting the year 4-1.
Boise State improves to 11-1 overall, their lone defeat coming at Oregon in Week Two of the season, 38-35. The Broncos will host UNLV on Friday night in the Mountain West Conference Championship Game, with the winner in line to receive a berth in the College Football Playoff and potentially a first-round playoff bye.
